RIIO‑T3
ReopenersUnder the RIIO‑T3 price control, Reopeners are a regulatory mechanism set by Ofgem that allow electricity transmission companies to request changes to their allowed funding where specific, predefined uncertainties arise during the price control period.
National Grid Electricity Transmission uses Reopeners to deliver the investment needed for the electricity transmission network, particularly where circumstances change in ways that could not be fully anticipated at the start of RIIO‑T3.
In line with our licence obligations, we publish information on our RIIO‑T3 Reopeners to support transparency and accountability.
This page provides information about the Reopeners submitted or being progressed by National Grid Electricity Transmission under RIIO‑T3. Information on this page is updated periodically to reflect key milestones in the Reopener process, such as submission(s) to Ofgem.
